This new section is specifically
for communicating with current club members only. Our club calendar is now
within this section, as is an archive of members' news. There is also a password
protected register
of current members so you can keep in touch, and a Rosters section for specific
projects.
Please make full use of this section and let
us know what you think of it, or if you have any suggestions for additions to
the section.
Rising Fuel Prices
If you are concerned about the
ever-increasing fuel prices and oil company gouging, did you know that it is
possible to travel from Bundanoon to Sydney by train for just $2.50 - RETURN!
That is, if you are in possession of a
Seniors Card. If you, or anybody you know, is over 60 and works fewer than 30
hours a week - take off statutory meal and tea breaks - you could be eligible.
Check out the NSW Seniors website by clicking
on the image below. If you are interested, Peter WS has application forms and,
as a JP, he can even witness your signature!

FlashID Project
Your club's flashID Project has moved to a new level,
with the flashID Classic and Card models now officially licensed by LCI as Lions
branded products.
The business venture, Lions Clubs' flashID
Project has now been registered as a Business Name. It is authorised by
FlashID to supply the flashID Emergency Identification
System to Lions and Leo Clubs, along with any other not-for-profit organisations
Australia-wide.
This will become a major fundraiser for our
club, so we seek the participation of ALL members, not only in selling flashID
to friends and neighbours, but also introducing flashID to Rotarians,
Probians, Apexians, etc., as well as supporters of charitable organisations -
especially those like Diabetes, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's with a medical focus.
There is also a new website specifically for
the flashID Project at
www.LionsflashID.org
Club Dinner Meetings
Please note that, commencing in February,
there will be a small increase in the cost of dinner at dinner meetings. Dinner
will now be $25 which, considering the quality, remains excellent value.
Please also note the following:
It is this club's practice, and is that of
Lions Clubs generally, to assume members' attendance at dinner meetings unless
an apology is received beforehand. If no apology is received from a member by
the Friday prior to a dinner meeting,
the member is obligated to pay, regardless of attendance.
So if you can't
attend a meeting, or if you wish to bring a guest (subject to space available),
phone President Les by the Friday prior to the meeting on 4883 6918.
